Lama trekking, archery, mini golf and an outing to the Iceland pony stables and petting farm are a few of the attractions offered as part of our children's activity programme. You can, of course, visit these attractions with your children on your own initiative.

Stubnerkogel - suspension bridge
After a pleasant ascent in the new "Stubnerkogel" mountain railway you reach the 140 m long suspension bridge at 2.300m altitude. The suspension bridge is brand new and is a European record at this height. The construction leads you directly from the terrace of the mountain restaurant to the transmitter on the opposite side. With the connecting route across the ridge, the suspension bridge opens up a fascinating circular hiking trail on the Stubnerkogel plateau connecting to the route across the ridge; an ideal walking trip for families.

A cool new attraction at the Schloßalm in Bad Hofgastein are the giant scooters. The lift takes you up to the summit and then it's off you whizz, down the track road to the intermediate station Kitzstein. Special scooters with large air-filled tyres and disc brakes make mountain scootering fun possible. Equipped with protective gear, a professional guide accompanies you on the first ride, with regular stops to allow you to enjoy the view of the beautiful countryside of Bad Hofgastein.

Literally translated this means "sinister cave". This is one of Gastein's most popular attractions.
This exhibition cave is the biggest in the Salzburg Central Alps. A guided tour gives fascinating insights into the mysterious underground world, shaped by nature over millions of years. The sheer height of the halls, the stunning stalactites and stalagmites and rock forms all created by the force of water following the Ice Age fascinate visitors of all ages.
The cave was formerly used by the outlawed followers of Luther and was their secret meeting place. Because of the positive earth radiation here, this is a place of energy:„Ort der Kraft“.

At the entrance to the Gastein valley the castle tower looms above the motorists' heads. The castle was formerly the seat of the archiepiscopal guardians and district judges, it also served as security and administrative centre of the entire valley.
For the past twenty years restauration work has been going on in order to restore the former glory to these ruins. A small museum has been set up in the the tower with numerous exhibits from the castle's historical past.

Visit the legendary, world famous gorge in St. Johann. Situated in the heart of the Salzburg state, this is a worthwhile attraction. The Liechtensteinklamm is not just the most beautiful but also one of the deepest and longest gorges in the Alps.

Giant ice cave world
Experience the mountains from the inside. Discover the wonder of the world's biggest ice cave. You will see ice palaces of crystal clear beauty, which will take to a wintry ice world even on hot summer days.
