Holiday Club becomes Holiday

The Munich-based company is changing its name with immediate effect. MONDI-FERIENCLUB becomes MONDI-HOLIDAY. Activity, vitality,encounter and culture are the pillars of the offer. Four large complexes in Germany and Austria have the advantage of a unique offer in a highly competitive market.
Bad Gastein/Grundlsee, November 9, 2004. – „Holidaymaking comes at a price. Especially holidaymaking in Germany or Austria. You have to be able to afford that.“ More and more guests are under this impression - and decide to go elsewhere or simply stay at home. All around the number of visitors is decreasing, but MONDI's visitors have increased by contrast. The enterprise shows a plus of 10% in rental this year. The secret? „We master the balancing act between top-quality and reasonable prices“, said Leonhard Dörr.
The enterprise was originally founded as a subsidiary company of the Metro group. In total eight resorts with holiday aparments were built. Guests were able to purchase occupancy rights. The mastermind, Leonhard Dörr, took over the enterprise at the end of the 1990's and has carried on successfully. Apart from the sale of timeshare rights, the hotel renting has gained in importance . The market has decided the rest. More and more people are looking for holiday apartments and are demanding high standards at reasonable prices. „MONDI has the unrivalled answer“, says Dörr. In order to avoid confusions with club holidays in resorts with animation programmes, we are changing the name: Instead of MONDIFERIENCLUB GmbH & Co KG we are now MONDI-HOLIDAY GmbH & Co KG.
At four locations the hotel rental section will be pushed. At „ MONDI-HOLIDAY Bellevue Bad Gastein“ in Salzburg, „ MONDI-HOLIDAY Grundlsee“ in Styria, „ MONDI-HOLIDAY Mitterfels“ in the Bavarian Forest and „ MONDIHOLIDAY Oberstaufen“ in Allgäu the future motto will be „A guaranteed holiday! Come and feel at home“ or „Alpin Power – conferences, seminars and workshops, that you won't forget”. The areas activity, vitality, meeting and culture will be part of package deals for private guests and companies. The main target group is the 50+ generation, couples from 25 years of age, and families. In addition to this companies and tour operators will be professionally catered for. All MONDI guests are in search of active rest and relaxation, come by car and are price-conscious. „And the price is unbeatable for this level of quality.“, says Dörr.
MONDI-HOLIDAY Hotels is a leading brand in the Geman-speaking world for feel-good living in hotels with holiday apartments. MONDI-HOLIDAY GmbH & Co. KG is based in Munich and operates hotel complexes with residential condominiums in Grundlsee and Bad Gastein in Austria, Oberstaufen and Mitterfels in southern Germany and Prissian near Meran in South Tyrol. A total of 2400 beds are at guests disposal. 100 employees and 200 part-time staff take care of gusets needs.
