Inspite of the trend of the disused Congress building,  Bad Gastein stands a good chance of attracting new conference guests in the coming year: in the centrally situated Hotel-Resort MONDI-HOLIDAY Bellevue a new spacious conference area is to open shortly. Thus a new conference venue will be in close proximity to the original congress building. The new conference venue will cover 240 sqm with modern technical equipment and is perfectly integrated into a hotel-typical infrastructure with high-standard catering and restaurant offers as well as a corresponding number of beds.

The new »Aurea suite« has a seating capacity of 200 and is accessible from the outside via a separate entrance than that of MONDI-HOLIDAY. The rooms have a stunning view of the mountain scenery of the "Hohe Tauern" National Park and are housed in the passageway leading from the main Bellevue building to the »Alpenhof«. Plenty of private parking spaces are available.

MONDI-HOLIDAY started building work in October of this year and is investing 1,8 million euros in the project.  Dipl.-Ing. Karl Wolter »Plan und Technik« from St. Johann im Pongau is responsible for the architectural planning and supervision.

MONDI-Hotel manager, Uwe Linke, has great expectations about the opening of the MONDI conference centre on Dezember 20, 2007: »Not only do the various conference initiators and organisers now have the possibility of booking  Bad Gastein as a meeting place - the demand is already strong, by the way! The MONDI team also looks forward to welcoming more guests from this segment and plans to expand our high-standard event and motivation programme.«
