Skiing in Gastein
The "Stubnerkogel" cabin lift is just 500 m away from the hotel and is your direct access to the skiing area. This modern 8 person cabin lift takes you up the Stubnerkogel in comfort.
Your winter holiday in the Salzburg province can begin ...
The Gastein skiing area has over 200 kilometres of slopes which lie at altitudes of up 2.700 m above sea level. Skiers of all levels of ability are in their element here: beginners, experienced, skiers boarders and carvers alike. The varying difficulty levels of the slopes show that there are slopes which suit all abilities: 60 km easy, 117 km moderately difficult and 24 km tough slopes; family runs carving slopes, deep snow and mogul pistes - all waiting to be discovered.
The daily up-to-the-minute snow and weather report is available at the reception!
Sportgastein is ideal for winter early birds and sunshine skiers thanks to investments made in a snow-making system. Now excellent pite conditions are guaranteed, mostly from November till spring!
Snowboarding
Freestyle fans already know the Gastein snowpark in the "Stubnermulde" on the "Stubnerkogel," just opened last winter. This is the place for fun and action, a perfect set-up, attended to daily for the duration of the season.
Families
In the Gastein valley there's fun and relaxation for all the family.
Learning to ski is now much easier thanks to the extended practice runs in the "Bucheben" arena (only 150 m from the hotel) and in the "Angertal" ski centre. Here things are geared to the needs of junior skiers. Kids can spend the whole day at the ski kindergarten, cared for by competent instructors - the ideal basis for first skiing attempts! Have fun on your family holiday in the region of Salzburg!
